Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation is seeking an enthusiastic and community-minded Sports and Recreation Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and evaluate recreation, sport, and wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyles for community members of all ages. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, leadership, volunteers, and community partners to deliver engaging and inclusive programming.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate recreation, sport, and leisure programs and events.
Manage recreation facilities, equipment, and program budgets.
Recruit, train, and support volunteers and coaches.
Develop and review recreation policies, procedures, and program initiatives.
Monitor program effectiveness and prepare reports.
Collaborate with staff, leadership, and community partners.
Promote safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful programming.
Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Recreation Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience coordinating recreation or community programs.
Strong planning, budgeting, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of First Nations communities and cultures is considered an asset.
Current First Aid and CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain.
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
Working Conditions
Primarily office and community-based work.
Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
Must maintain a positive and professional role-model presence.
