Maintenance Manager
Carry The Kettle Nakoda Nation is seeking a qualified and motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of Nation-owned housing, facilities, and community infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide leadership to maintenance staff, oversee maintenance operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support the long-term care of Nation assets.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and support maintenance staff and contractors.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance programs.
Conduct inspections of housing units, buildings, and community facilities.
Develop maintenance schedules and recommend capital improvements.
Manage departmental budgets, inventories, and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Nation policies.
Prepare reports and provide operational updates to management.
Qualifications
Certificate, diploma, or trade certification in a related field
Minimum of 35 years of supervisory or management experience in maintenance, construction, housing, facilities, or public works.
Knowledge of building maintenance, project coordination, budgeting, and applicable legislation.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers Licence.
Criminal Record Check is required.
Working Conditions
Combination of office and field work.
Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency response work may be required.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
