Quality Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of hydraulic cylinder components and assemblies. The successful candidate will verify dimensions, tolerances, threads, pin holes and other critical characteristics; support quality verification for welding, machining and assembly; identify and document nonconforming product; and work with production to resolve quality issues and prevent repeat defects. The role will also include maintaining inspection records, supporting customer-specific quality requirements and ensuring quality coverage throughout the shift.

Required Qualifications

1-2 year diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or a related technical program.

Quality Technician certification is preferred.

Background in machining or precision manufacturing.

Hands-on quality inspection experience; strong practical experience may be considered in place of formal education.

Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools.

Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and communicate quality issues to management.

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturing inspection experience.

Experience with machining, welding and/or hydraulic cylinders.

Experience with customer-specific quality requirements and nonconformance documentation.
