Parts Counter Sales Representative

Auto & Tractor Supply Co. Ltd. is seeking a Parts Counter Sales Representative to join our team.   A background or interest in agriculture, welding and/or heavy duty applications is a benefit.  You will primarily be focused on helping customers with their parts questions,  with special attention to accuracy.

Duties will include

• Perform sales functions in a business to business customer-facing environment. Knowledge of computerized inventory systems is helpful
• Actively manage and grow pre-existing customer base and accounts
• Work with our company's many databases to find and sell parts to customers.  You will utilize technical, mechanical and clerical skills to address parts requests and invoicing to customers, including handling cash and other forms of payment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Locate, order, pick and distribute parts. Assist in merchandising.
• Work towards continuous improvement; Learn about the products offered, in order to provide correct information to customers. Communicate with and work with other staff in a team environment

Qualifications required

• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are required, as well as excellent customer service.
• Ability to identify a client need and provide a solution
• Attention to Detail, Computer, Telephone / Listening skills
• Previous counter experience and mechanical / automotive parts knowledge is an asset
• Background or interest in welding/automotive/heavy duty mechanical systems is an asset
• Some heavy lifting and travel is required.
