AGT FOODS OAT MILLING LP, a subsidiary of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc., is a value-added oat milling facility focused on the production of a variety of products, including oat groats, flours and other milled oat products, for plant-based human food, specialty ingredient and animal feed products.
We are currently recruiting an Oat Milling Facility Manager to join our Aberdeen, SK facility.
Duties
Manage the day-to-day operations of the mill in a safe and efficient manner
Work with the senior management team to establish the overall strategy for the mill
Ensure all mill-related projects are on-time and on-budget
Develop and direct the implementation of operational programs, processes and policies to meet organizational governance requirements and standards
Provide expert advice throughout the site on mill processes and practices
Identify options and implement actions to adopt best practices for mill production
Maintain a safe workplace for all employees, including training of all production employees with respect to Regulatory, Health and Safety, and production processes
Operating within company policies to manage performance expectations
Employment Requirements
Supervise staff for overall best results with advanced knowledge of facility functions such as:
Shipping and receiving
Inventory management
Housekeeping
Warehousing
Repair and maintenance (equipment and facility)
Administration
Food safety and quality
Workplace safety
The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience in the management and operation of an oat milling or grain handling facility. A hands-on approach with a strong desire to succeed is imperative to this position.
