Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shop Foreman/woman to lead our maintenance and repair operations for Heavy Trucks & Trailers in our Carrot River, SK shop. In this vital role, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate repairs, and ensure that all equipmentis maintained at peak performance. Your mechanical expertise and leadership skills will drive productivity while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the shop team to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, and inspections of Heavy Trucks & Trailers
- Coordinate with project managers to prioritize equipment needs and schedule repairs efficiently
- Perform troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Conduct welding, assembly, and routine mechanical work using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and repair logs
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members
Proven experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment, with strong hands-on mechanical knowledge in repair, welding, electrical systems, diagnostics, and general maintenance. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with ability to work safely, manage a team, coordinate with vendors and project teams, and perform physically demanding work.
