About this role
Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
Check lumber, building materials, and furniture for damage, defects, or shortages.
Report discrepancies and assist with processing returns and vendor credits.
Ensure all received products are accurately documented and stored.
Pick, prepare, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Safely load materials and furniture onto delivery trucks or customer vehicles.
Verify orders before shipment to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Complete and maintain all shipping and receiving documentation.
Record incoming and outgoing materials in the inventory management system.
Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
Maintain organized warehouse and yard storage areas.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Follow safe lifting, stacking, and material handling procedures.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Support overall warehouse and yard operations as needed.
