QUALITY ASSURANCE ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Corporate Quality and Food Safety Manager, the QA Assistant will work closely with the QA Tech and provide support to all production departments to ensure established food safety and quality standards are consistently maintained.

This position plays an important role in monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process, supporting quality assurance programs, and helping ensure customer satisfaction through the production of high-quality products at standard operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine in-process and online quality inspections and checks.

Monitor production processes to ensure products meet established quality specifications.

Assist with internal and external audit preparation.

Strong computer skills to maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and inspection reports.

Identify and communicate quality concerns or deviations to the appropriate personnel.

Help ensure company food safety and quality standards, procedures, and programs are consistently followed.

Promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Qualifications & Requirements

A minimum of two years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of food industry standards and quality programs, such as FDA and SQF, would be considered a definite asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good visual acuity and a strong attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Shift work will be required
