Mill Maintenance Superintendent
Lead maintenance operations to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of plant equipment and assets. This role provides leadership to maintenance teams and contractors while driving reliability, cost control, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support safe and efficient operations.
Oversee preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
Lead maintenance planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts.
Coordinate capital projects and contractor work to ensure timely and safe execution.
Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency.
Develop, coach, and support maintenance supervisors, trades personnel, and contractors.
Qualifications
Engineering degree, technical diploma, journeyperson certification, or equivalent related experience.
3+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, mining, processing, or heavy industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance planning, and reliability programs.
Experience managing budgets, contractors, and maintenance workflows.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with SAP, CMMS, or similar maintenance management systems preferred.
