About this role
We are currently looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator who is a dynamic and motivated individual, possesses a strong attention to detail and can work independently based on direction provided by the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
Key responsibilities will include
- Receive components and miscellaneous items to purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods against packing lists and (Enter the information into Tekla) record applicable data in the corresponding ERP system.
- Unload incoming truck deliveries and perform physical check on received items to packing slip and/or purchase orders.
- Separate and segregate materials into fit kits for fabrication according to prepared lists provided by fabrication requirements.
- To inform all stakeholders of any received items. (Purchasing, Project Managers).
- Under direct supervision, perform work activities and independently solve routine issues.
- Ensure MTRs for incoming steel are received and recorded accurately into the Tekla system at the time of receiving.
- Coordinate with Procurement to follow up Suppliers for missing documentation and MTRs when required.
- Identify missing materials pre-fabrication/processing and inform necessary team members to solve before impact to production are realized.
- Anticipate production needs and ensure no delays from material.
- Perform annual inventory counts for all steel inventory.
The ideal candidate will have
- High school diploma required
- 2 to 4 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- ERP system experience
- Forklift experience/license
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Comfortable working in ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word
- Works well under pressure with ability to problem solve
