Grain Farm Worker

With harvest coming up, I am looking for another Grain Farm Worker to work with us on our family farm. Employment is full-time. For the right individual long-term employment is available.

Duties will vary throughout the year and depend on individuals experience and abilities, but can include:

• Operating and daily maintenance of equipment/machinery being used such as combines, tractors, grain carts, sprayers, harrows, air drills, rock pickers, etc..
• Those with a Class 1A licence will also operate and help to maintain semis and trailer units for hauling grain, fertilizer, water and other items.
• Help with and do equipment and truck maintenance and repairs when required.
• Help other employees complete their tasks when you have completed your tasks.
• Other farm and/or field work.

The successful candidate must

• Have at least 1-2 years of grain farm experience.
• Be HONEST
• Be physically fit and able.
• Have a valid Class 5 drivers licence.
• Be able to work long hours including weekends and holidays during busy times.
• Be reliable and able to work with others as well as on their own.

Preference will go to an individual with a valid Class 1A drivers licence.

Having mechanical knowledge is an asset.

Wages are competitive based upon experience.

Living accommodations can be provided.

Suppers are provided for those working well past 6:30pm.
