Grain Elevator Sales Supervisor

Chaplin Grain Elevator is an agricultural facility engaged in grain purchasing, storage, cleaning and screening, and feed product sales. We serve farmers and producers in Chaplin and surrounding communities. We are seeking an organized, customer-focused Grain and Feed Sales Supervisor.

This is an agricultural commodity sales position serving farmers, livestock producers and business customers, not a retail-store position.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate grain and feed sales activities.

Build and maintain relationships with farmers, producers and agricultural customers.

Identify customer needs and provide product, pricing, quantity and delivery information.

Prepare quotations, sales agreements, invoices and reports.

Monitor market conditions, demand and pricing trends.

Develop new customers and follow up on sales opportunities.

Coordinate orders, inventory, grain movements, deliveries and pickups with elevator staff.

Maintain accurate sales, customer, contract and transaction records.

Assist with grain purchasing and customer account management.

Resolve customer inquiries and sales or delivery issues.

Train and support staff involved in customer service and order processing.

Support management with business development and other duties.

Qualifications

Experience in grain, feed, agricultural commodity or crop-input sales is preferred.

Knowledge of grain elevator operations, Prairie agriculture or livestock feed products is an asset.

Strong communication, sales, customer service and organizational skills.

Ability to work with farmers and business customers, supervise staff and work independently.

Computer skills and experience preparing sales documents and reports.

Valid drivers licence and occasional travel are required.
