CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Safety Leadership & Compliance
Will implement safety policies, transporting materials, installing electrical transmission systems, performing repair work, and laying underground cables in trenches.
Ability to adhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations, follow safety standards and ask questions, if needed, related to safety practices in the electrical construction industry.
Training & Documentation Management
Willingness to enroll in and complete training and documentation toward Lineman certification.
Willingness to learn and interpret site plans and construction drawings.
Essential Job Functions
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid.
Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines.
Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and modify high and low voltage transmission and distribution of electrical grid.
Maintain interior, exterior, overhead, and underground electrical distribution systems.
Install and maintain cables making part of power distribution systems.
Assist in the construction, maintenance and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 6 months experience as an Apprentice Lineman Technician or in a related role within the electrical utility, transmission, distribution, or powerline construction industry.
Experience working on overhead and/or underground T&D electrical systems is preferred.
Have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract.
