CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, inspect, maintain, overhead and underground power lines, transformers and other electrical components of the electrical grid.
Operate various types of heavy machinery and tools, such as bucket truck, digger truck, and backhoe to perform their duties effectively.
Keep detailed records of work performed, equipment used and other jobsite activities.
Mentor and support Apprentice Linemen, to promote safety mindset, culture, and skills.
Work effectively in teams, communicate with supervisors, peers, and occasionally customers.
Field Duties & Compliance
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid.
Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution.
Install, inspect, maintain, repair and modify high and low voltage distribution electrical grid.
Maintain interior, exterior, overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
Ability in construction of new distribution powerlines in all aspects of the construction phases.
Ability in framing wooden poles for distribution powerlines.
Ability in all aspects of stringing overhead conductor.
Ability to assist in setting up puller.
Ability to operate various pieces of equipment for the construction or maintenance of distribution powerlines
Qualifications & Skills
Trade certificate in the powerline industry from an accredited Trade School or equivalent education and experience in the powerline industry.
