• 1 mile South of Good Spirit Lake, SK (NE 4-29-5 W2nd)

Main Duties

• Supering hives
• Harvesting and extracting honey
• Cleaning honey extraction and storage equipment
• Barrel moving, preparation, filling and storage
• Manufacture, assemble, and maintain hive equipment
• Bee yard maintenance

Personal Characteristics

• Good physical and mental health
• Good coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• General interest in apiculture and a willingness to learn
• A responsible attitude when handling equipment
• Flexibility and adaptability

Working Conditions

• Some tasks are performed outside regardless of weather conditions.
• Work may be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring self-motivation.
• Safety precautions must be followed and protective clothing worn to avoid injury.
• Appropriate hygiene practices must be followed to prevent contamination
• Heavy lifting is required
• Strong work ethic is a must!

Relevant Skills & Experience

• Must have at least 7 months experience beekeeping.
• Ability to drive and operate farm trucks.
• Hand tool use associated with beekeeping tasks

Beneficial but not required

• Equipment operation and maintenance
• First Aid/CPR
• Valid driver's license (asset)
