Truck Driver

Lipsett Cartage Ltd. is looking for experienced Class 1 Truck Drivers to join our team based out of Western Canada.

We operate flatbed B-train equipment throughout Western Canada and are looking for professional drivers who take pride in safety, reliability, equipment care and customer service.

Position Details

Position: Class 1A Truck Driver

Location: AB,SK,MB

Employment: Permanent, full-time

Hours: 4070 hours per week

Start date: As soon as possible

Compensation Options

Hourly position

$30.00 per hour

4070 hours per week

Overtime available

Percentage compensation position

22% of applicable freight charges

50% of applicable tarp charges

Compensation based on freight hauled and applicable company compensation policies

Compensation structure will be discussed with qualified applicants based on the position offered, experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including flatbed and B-train equipment.

Transport freight safely throughout Western Canada.

Perform complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.

Properly load, secure, tarp and transport freight.

Handle chains, straps, tarps and other cargo-securement equipment.

Complete bills of lading, trip reports, inspection reports and other required documentation.

Maintain accurate hours-of-service and electronic log records.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, incidents and cargo damage.

Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch and company personnel.

Operate safely in all weather and road conditions.

Follow company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.

Maintain a clean and professional truck and work environment.

Qualifications

Valid Class 1A driver's licence.

Minimum 2 years of professional truck-driving experience.

Experience operating tractor-trailer equipment.

Flatbed experience preferred.

B-train experience preferred.
