About this role
Salary:27.00 to 32.00 hourly (depending upon the experience) / 30.00 to 40.00 hours per week
Tasks
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Connecting the damaged vehicle to the truck with a chain, winch or steering block.
Receiving communications from company dispatcher.
Driving to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.
Interacting with the customer to find out the nature of the problem.
Performing roadside vehicle diagnostics.
Performing minor repairs.
Jump-starting vehicles, changing tires and reconnecting vehicle parts.
Suggesting a course of action.
Towing the vehicle to an authorized service station or junkyard.
Reporting to base and completing paperwork
