Supported Living Supervisor
Basic Purpose
This position is responsible for assisting in the supervision and support of the SLP Program and assigned operational tasks. This position works in conjunction with the programme coordinator to support staff with implementation of programming, procedures and staff roles and responsibilities.
Duties include but are not limited to
General
Act as a positive role model by displaying professional, appropriate, and responsible behaviours as a guide to staff.
Responsible for the completion and submission of the CLSD quarterly attendance reports for the SLP department.
Deal with participant situations as they arise to minimize harmful or dangerous behavior and promote a caring environment.
Work collaboratively to help create and maintain a respectful working relationship with participants, families, co-workers, and other team members.
Assess individuals needs within the department, monitoring, and documenting progress.
Ensure that the programmes maximize the individuals potential and quality of life.
oversee all home routines, ensure staff apply strategies outlined, prepare and review staff schedules to ensure adequate service, perform inspections of homes , monitoring and recording as needed, submit monthly reports, identify issues of concern and work with staff or supervisor/coordinator to resolve the concern, involved in the implementation and monitoring of individuals budget, support management team in hiring/training and developing staff as appropriate. Understand and work within the CLSD service agreement, labour standards and occupational health and safety.
