Student, IT Security

In this role, you will

• Support the implementation of Camecos information security program and promote IT security awareness.
• Assist with investigating IT security incidents and monitoring systems for unauthorized activity or external threats.
• Support security configuration reviews to help ensure systems meet established security requirements.
• Contribute to security projects and process improvements.

Required

• you are a third- or fourth-year university student currently enrolled in computer science or a related program; and
• you must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.

Recommended

• basic understanding of computer networks and IT security principles;
• exposure to or interest in learning cybersecurity tools, risk management and governance;
• familiarity with system administration and managing user access; and
• ability to learn new skills quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.

This is a 12 to 16-month full-time temporary student term, starting May 2027 until end of May 2028 / August 2028.

Interviews will take place in December 2026 / January 2027. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview.
