About this role
The Specialist, Environmental Strategic Issues Management (ESIM), will provide subject matter expertise, oversight, and administration of SaskPowersupported mitigation and accommodation initiatives that aim to address community concerns and support delta restoration. The position serves as a key relationship bridge between SaskPower and the Cumberland House community, supporting a collaborative approach to planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of mitigation and accommodation programs. Working closely with Indigenous Rightsholders, communities, local stakeholders, and internal teams, the Specialist helps ensure initiatives are informed by community knowledge and priorities while also aligning with regulatory requirements and SaskPowers corporate objectives.
SaskPower is committed to supporting the successful candidate in developing the skills and experience needed for these responsibilities over time. While they may not take on all aspects of the role immediately, we are comfortable with a gradual transition as they build capacity.
