Residential youth workers.

Dories House operates around the clock. We accept applications on an ongoing basis from people interested in working directly with youth in the residential environment.

Residential shifts include everyday routines, meals, appointments, recreation, documentation, supervision and helping young people through difficult moments. Strong applicants are steady, practical, respectful and able to work within clear safety, privacy and professional boundaries.

We have 8 beds. Six are designated addictions treatment beds and two are designated emergency beds for teenagers who find themselves in need of shelter.

Preferance will be given to people with formal education or experience with at-risk youth and or addictions.Training in choice theory, ASIST, Food handling and First aid are an asset.

Part time are guaranteed 20-30 hrs but can add additional shifts up to 40 hours
