Prairieview Surgical Centre is seeking a 0.8 FTE Operating Room RN to join our team.

About the Centre

Prairieview specializes in ophthalmology, orthopedics, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, and pediatric dental procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centred perioperative nursing care.

Collaborate with the surgical team to support quality patient outcomes.

Maintain infection prevention, medication safety, and confidentiality standards.

Document patient care accurately and participate in education and staff orientation.

Comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Eligible for registration and a practice permit with the CRNS.

Perioperative nursing certification, completion of a perioperative education program, or equivalent education and experience.

Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment and respond to stressful or emergent situations.

Physical Requirements

This role involves patient handling, lifting/pushing/pulling over 25 lbs, prolonged standing, wearing lead protection, and potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and other workplace hazards.
