About this role
The P.C. coordinates and facilitates all activities relating to participants at Variety Place Assoc. Inc. by completing assessments, interpreting data, assisting in setting goals, directing/scheduling/supervising staff under supervision and direction of the Executive Director. The P.C. works closely with the Executive Director to ensure Policies and Procedures of Variety Place Association Inc. are adhered to. The P.C. shall assist the Executive Director to ensure participants' medical, residential, vocational and quality of life needs are being met. The P.C. will be involved in H.R. duties. The successful candidate must be able to work with individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, must have the ability to deal with unpredictable behaviours, must possess excellent: communication skills, fluent in the English language and written English, organizational, interpersonal, computer and public relations skills. The P.C. must be able to provide a criminal record check at point of hire including vulnerable sector check, must have a valid Sask. Dr.Lic. Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends when directed by Executive Director. This position will appeal to a highly motivated self-starter who can make a significant contribution to the management team in a changing environment. The successful individual must have proven leadership skills in a service delivery and business model, as well as satisfactory oral and written communication and presentation skills. A high level of organizational skill competency and positive role modeling is also required. Experience & education in services delivery complemented with some business experience is preferred. Applicants must be able and willing to work effectively with developmentally delayed/intellectually challenged adults.
