The Ministry of Highways is seeking a motivated Supervisor, Operations for the Outlook Section within the Operations and Maintenance Division. Candidates must possess a valid Class 1A driver's licence and knowledge of highway maintenance operations, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, workplace safety practices, traffic control procedures, and occupational health requirements. Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel, and lubrication systems is required. Contract or project management experience and knowledge of ice roads are assets. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Duties include supervising staff and program delivery, coordinating highway maintenance and snow and ice control activities, operating and maintaining heavy equipment, preparing operational reports and records, ensuring compliance with safety and roadwork policies, and responding to public and stakeholder inquiries.
