About this role
This position will be a 2pm - 9pm shift with possible rotation of 4pm - 11pm shift. This position is meant for someone who enjoys working with seniors and thrives on assisting them to live to their best! The candidate must be a team player and work well with others. Communication in this position is key!
The position duties includes but is not limited to
- Assistance with Resident bathing
- Deep cleaning of resident rooms
- Medication distribution
- Supper service
- Supper Cleanup
- Resident recreation as scheduled
- Laundry
- Serving/cleaning up evening snack
- Assisting residents with evening hygiene
- Answering phones/doors/resident buzzers
Communication with co-workers is of utmost importance, as is attention to detail and pride of work.
Candidate must have reliable transportation and be trusted to make it to shifts consistently, and on time!
Candidate must have or be willing to obtain prior to employment:
- First Aide/CPR
- WHMIS
- St. John Ambulance Personal Care Worker Course
- Food Handlers Course
- TLR training
- PART training
