Outreach Support Worker

Susan Ulmer Addiction Services Inc. is seeking a dependable and compassionate Outreach Support Worker to support participants, the Outreach Worker, and the daily operation of our Fort QuAppelle program.

This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to support individuals experiencing addiction, trauma, mental health concerns, grief, and other complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Outreach Worker and assist with daily outreach needs.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments, treatment programs, recovery meetings, pharmacies, grocery stores, community agencies, and other approved destinations.
• Assist with participant follow-up, appointments, paperwork, scheduling, errands, and community access.
• Complete transportation records, notes, incident reports, and required documentation.
• Support facility needs including organizing, restocking, general cleaning, and identifying safety or maintenance concerns.
• Respond appropriately to urgent situations and communicate participant concerns to the appropriate staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with addiction, mental health concerns, trauma, or complex needs is an asset.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of addiction recovery, harm reduction, community resources, and trauma-informed care is an asset.
• Experience working with First Nations individuals and families is an asset.

Requirements

• Valid drivers licence.
• Reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance.
• Ability to transport participants when required.
• Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.
