Meat Supervisor - Full Time

SHERWOOD CO-OP REQUIRES A FULL TIME MEAT SUPERVISOR AT OUR INDIAN HEAD FOOD LOCATION

DUTIES

Assisting the Meat Manager with providing daily supervision and direction to the meat department team and with the establishment of priorities for team members on a daily

basis and provides follow up.

Responsible for providing information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers and responding to general customer inquiries and be familiar with in-store promotions, bulletins, and updates.

Promoting and ensuring all company, safety, environmental and regulatory policies, and procedures are met, including responsible sale/service and safe handling/storage of product.

Receiving deliveries and completing required documentation including checking and receiving packing slips when unloading orders to ensure orders are correct.

Performing basic data entry and updating product information to accurately report inventory levels.

To act as manager when manager is away on weekly days off, sick and vacation.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade XII education or equivalent.

Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Co-operative retail experience is an asset.

Strong customer service, communication and proficient time management skills are considered an asset.

Has strong problem-solving skills and is able to remain calm under pressure.

Possesses strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

Comfortable working with different types of operating equipment such as a pallet jack,

walkie stacker and computers/till.

Must be capable of repetitively lifting to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.

Must be bondable.

Membership in Sherwood Co-op is a prerequisite.

Participation in direct payroll deposit program.
