Long Haul Truck Driver

Driver Requirements

Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience

Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence

Valid U.S. visa required for cross-border operations

Clean and safe driving record

Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety requirements

Ability to complete pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections

Ability to maintain accurate logs and shipment documentation

Reliable and professional attitude

Strong communication skills

Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer in varying road and weather conditions

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer throughout Canada and the United States

Pick up and deliver freight safely and on schedule

Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections

Properly inspect and secure freight when required

Maintain accurate electronic logs, bills of lading and other transportation documents

Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, shippers and receivers

Follow Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations and company safety policies

Report equipment defects, delays and safety concerns promptly

Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and professional condition
