Laboratory Technician I

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Media and Glass Preparation (MGP) Laboratory. The Laboratory Assistant will contribute to the laboratory activities, providing support to all laboratories at VIDO. This position will report to Dr. Ravendra Garg, Research Scientist.

Duties

Prepare buffers, media, and sterile solutions following standardized protocols.

Document recipes, protocols, and quality checks.

Maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents, and consumables.

Collects dirty glassware from laboratories

Washes, dries and sterilizes glassware

Receives shipments and distributes to laboratories

Sterilizes and disposes of liquid biohazardous waste

Washes and folds laundry for laboratories
