Food Counter Attendant

Employment location: 1812 McOrmond Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7S 0A6 / On Site  Work must be completed at the Physical Location.

JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES

Provide friendly and efficient customer service and create positive guest experiences.

Take customers' orders and serve customers at counters or buffet tables.

Prepare, heat and finish simple food items; portion and wrap foods; and package take-out food.

Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs.

Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables; clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.

Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware and flatware by hand; scour pots and pans.

Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas and stock refrigerators and salad bars.

Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.

Keep records of quantities of food used.

Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment.

Handle and store cleaning products; remove kitchen garbage and trash; sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.

Work cooperatively with team members in a fast-paced environment and perform other related food-service duties as assigned.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS

Experience: No experience required; training will be provided. Customer service or quick-service experience is an asset.

Must be friendly, outgoing, reliable, client-focused and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Must be available to work early morning, morning, day, evening, night and weekend shifts as required.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Equipment/machinery experience with conventional oven, deep fryer, electronic cash register, food dispensers and grill is an asset.
