Fitness Centre Manager

The YMCA of Regina (operating in Regina & Moose Jaw) excels at delivering programming focused on our three pillars of service: community development, childcare & health fitness, & aquatics.

Reporting to the Director of HFA Operations & Member Experience, the Fitness Center Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of membership services & fitness programming at the Moose Jaw YMCA. Responsible for membership growth & retention, fitness programming, personal training services, staff leadership, facility operations & member experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure all membership, fitness & program activities align with YMCA service standards & objectives

Lead membership sales, retention, community outreach & member engagement initiatives to achieve growth targets

Oversee the development, scheduling, delivery & evaluation of Health & Wellness, Group Fitness, Personal Training & Healthy Living programs

Monitor membership, participation & revenue trends & implement strategies to improve performance

Lead the staff & volunteer lifecycle

Oversee daily fitness centre operations, ensuring a safe, clean, welcoming & well-maintained facility.

Respond to member concerns, complaints & operational issues

Qualifications

Post-secondary in Kinesiology, Health Education or related

Min 2-3 years leadership, supervisory, customer service, sales or facility operations experience

Proven ability to build positive relationships with members, staff, community partners & stakeholders.

Strong organizational, problem-solving & administrative skills.

Experience with databases, CRM systems, scheduling software & MS Office

Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C or willingness to obtain

Clear CRC with Vulnerable Sector Check

Flexibility to work evenings & weekends
