About this role
nstall fire sprinkler pipes and sprinkler heads in buildings.
Read drawings to understand where pipes and sprinklers need to be installed.
Measure and cut pipes to the required size.
Connect pipes together using fittings, couplings, or threads.
Install valves, hangers, brackets, and other sprinkler system parts.
Connect the sprinkler system to the building's water supply.
Test the sprinkler system to make sure there are no leaks and that it works properly.
Repair or replace damaged pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, and other parts.
Check existing sprinkler systems and perform regular maintenance.
Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts to complete the work.
Work with other trades and supervisors to complete projects.
Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.
Report any problems with the sprinkler system to the supervisor.
Help load, unload, and move pipes, tools, and equipment at job sites.
