Early Childhood Educator

FULL-TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR

Foam Lake Daycare Inc. is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

Position: Full-Time ECE

Hours: MondayFriday, approximately 40 hours/week

Reports to: Director

The ECE provides quality care and learning opportunities for children ages 012 in a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Main Duties

Supervise and provide daily care for children ages 012.

Plan and implement age-appropriate learning and play activities.

Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

Observe children's interests and developmental needs and adapt programming.

Use positive guidance and support appropriate behaviour.

Maintain a safe, clean, healthy, and welcoming environment.

Assist with indoor/outdoor programming and prepare activity materials.

Clean and sanitize toys, equipment, classrooms, and common areas.

Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.

Complete required documentation and follow daycare policies, health and safety practices, and Saskatchewan child-care licensing requirements.

Participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Qualifications/Skills

Caring, patient, dependable, and positive attitude.

Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to safely supervise and respond to children's needs.

First Aid/CPR is an asset.

ECE Level I or more is an asset; training may be available while working, with tuition support available.
