Early Childhood Educator

Broadview Licensed Daycare is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic casual early childhood educator to join our team. The casual ECE will provide high-quality care and support to children while working alongside our full time educators to create a safe, welcoming, play-based learning environment.

This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with children between the ages of 18 months-12 years and is available to provide coverage for staff absences, vacation days, professional development days, and other staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nurturing, responsive, and respectful care to children.
• Support children's learning and development through play and exploration.
• Follow the centre's programming philosophy and support child-led, open ended learning experiences.
• Supervise children closely and maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, toileting,  dressing, rest time, and transitions.
• Follow all centre policies, procedures, licensing requirements, and health and safety practices.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
• Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining an organized environment.
• Be flexible and willing to work with toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children as required.

Qualifications

• Current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
• Current child abuse registry check.
• Ability to accept casual, short notice shifts.
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting would be an asset, but not required.
