Cake Decorator - Food Store (16186)

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Cake Decorator (40 hours/week) at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and Lake Country Co-op standards.
• Accept cake orders and perform cake writing requests.
• Arrange and display decorated cakes in an attractive manner, both in the display cases and on special occasions.
• Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow first in first out (FIFO).
• Efficiently manage time to promptly fulfill customer orders while maintaining the quality of work.
• Clean and sanitize department tools, equipment, and workstations.
• Support and follow Food Safe, Asset Protection, and Safety Management regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Previous experience as a cake decorator or in a related field.
• Artistic ability with knowledge of various cake decorating techniques and trends.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Able to fulfill physical job requirements, such as heavy lifting, repetitive movements, and standing entire shift.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
