Director of Childcare Operations

The Director of Childcare Operations oversees & supports centre leaders in Regina & Moose Jaw  with daily operations, staffing, enrollment, licensing, risk management & continuous improvement while demonstrating YMCA core values.

Responsibilities

Oversee centre operations, coach & support leaders in delivering quality childcare & achieving goals

Monitor licensing compliance, support inspections & corrective actions & ensure adherence to legislation, regulations & YMCA standards

Lead workforce planning & address staffing, scheduling & ratio challenges

Monitor enrollment & occupancy

Help resolve escalated parent concerns, complaints & complex service issues

Coordinate responses to emergencies, critical incidents & high-risk situations

Lead operational reviews, audits & continuous improvement initiatives

Support planning for new centre openings & expansions.

Participate in community initiatives & partnerships

Qualifications

Early Childhood Educator Level III certification from the Saskatchewan Ministry preferred

Min 5 years progressive leadership experience in childcare, human services, education or related

Experience leading multiple sites, teams, programs or operational functions

Strong knowledge of childcare regulations, licensing & operational best practices

Excellent leadership, coaching, problem-solving & decision-making skills

Valid driver's licence & ability to travel between locations

Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification

Clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search
