About this role
This position is to provide technological expertise and support to the FHQTC staff and school staffs of FHQTC regarding the utilization of students data management for the enhancement of the educational opportunities for children and youth and staff at File Hills Qu' Appelle Tribal Council.
Student Data System Management expert is responsible for student data management and plays an important role in ensuring that school technology systems, student information systems, and educational data are reliable, accurate, secure, and accessible.
Within FHQTC Education, this position would provide technical support to the 11 First Nation schools, ensuring that student information is properly maintained, protected, and available to support school administration, teachers, principals, and education leadership.
Student Data System (SDS) Management
Provide technical administration and support for student information systems, including MSS, SDS, Follett Aspen, or other platforms used by schools.
Maintain student records, enrolment information, attendance, demographics, and academic information.
Assist schools with student registration, transfers, withdrawals, and record updates.
Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of student information.
Ensure accurate information and Educator Profiles are up to date.
Monitor system functionality and troubleshoot data-entry or reporting issues.
Support the creation and maintenance of student records across grade levels.
Competencies
BSc/BA in Computer Science, or diploma in a related field. A combination of related education and relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will also be considered.
Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, computer systems, peripherals, Microsoft Office, software, internet security and data privacy principles.
Experience in an education environment and or teaching experience.
