Crew Lead - Facilities

Are you an experienced facility professional with strong leadership skills? The City of Moose Jaw is seeking a motivated and hands-on Crew Lead-Facilities to coordinate maintenance operations, support staff, and help maintain our community spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing maintenance, caretaking, and housekeeping programs and operating guidelines.
• Coordinate and ensure proper timely completion of daily and preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Maintain complete and accurate records, logs and supporting operational documents.
• Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Monitor staff certifications, order janitorial/maintenance supplies and recommend repair projects.
• Assist with budget preparation and expenditure tracking.
• Safely operate and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Provide supervisor coverage as required and participate in after-hours call out rotation (approx. two weeks per month).

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 3 years facility/building maintenance experience with 2 years in a supervisory role and 2 years in custodial supervision.
• Refrigeration Operators Certificate OR 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (or higher).
• Valid Class 5 drivers license and abstract.
• Able to obtain required Certifications (PME, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, SPRA Arena/Pool Operator, Class 3A, BOMI SMT).
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Lift up to 50lbs unassisted, and pass respirator fit testing

Able to work 4-10-hour shifts per week, typically Tuesday through Friday. Weekend work may be required.
