Cowessess First Nation is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Composting Facility Technician to operate its rapid composting facility as part of the Cowessess Circular Food Sovereignty Project. Reporting to the Director of Lands, the successful candidate will operate the composting system, manage the community organics collection program, prepare finished compost, maintain operating records, and support related community food production and education activities. No previous composting experience is required, as training and safety certification will be provided. The successful candidate will also assist with basic project coordination, administrative tasks, and project team hours tracking and reporting.
