Position Summary
We are looking for compassionate and flexible Direct support workers to support adults with intellectual and physical disabilities in a Group Home setting. This role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time or on-call work, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
you'll assist residents with day-to-day living, encourage independence, and support community inclusion in a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily routines including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Support residents in participating in recreational, social, and community activities.
Promote independence and life skills development.
Maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively with the team.
Respond to emergency or crisis situations as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Post-secondary diploma or degree in a human services field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is an asset.
Other Requirements
Valid Saskatchewan drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
Current First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Additional Information
This is a casual/on-call position with no guaranteed hours; flexibility is essential.
Shifts are assigned based on availability and staffing needs.
A supportive team environment and on-the-job training are provided.
Positions: 6 Union positions
Shift Type: Casual | 8-Hour Shifts (Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends)
Salary: As per Collective Agreement
