Job Description

Humble House Bakery is looking for a skilled and experienced Cake Decorator with professional hands-on experience in custom cake decorating.

Previous cake decorating experience is mandatory. This is not an entry-level position.

Required Skills and Experience

Fondant: Must have experience covering cakes, creating fondant figures, flowers, and custom designs.

Whipped Cream: Must have experience in smooth finishing, piping, borders, and decorative designs.

Buttercream: Must have experience in buttercream finishing and professional decorating techniques.

Cake Garnishing: Must have experience in garnishing, finishing, and presenting cakes professionally.

Ability to create custom birthday, wedding, anniversary, and themed cakes.

Ability to recreate cake designs from customer reference photos.

Must be able to work independently and complete orders on time.

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and cleanliness.

Mandatory Portfolio Requirements

Applicants must provide

Resume with previous cake decorating experience.

Clear photos of cakes they have personally decorated.

Facebook or Instagram portfolio/profile showing previous decorating work, if available.

Proof of relevant professional cake decorating experience.

Canadian citizens and permanent residents are preferred

Work Authorization and SINP Support

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Applicants with a valid Canadian work permit are also welcome to apply. A work permit with at least two years of remaining validity is preferred.

SINP support may be considered for eligible candidates, subject to program requirements and employer eligibility.
