Saskatoon Public Schools is the largest school division in Saskatchewan, serving nearly 29,000 students with the support of more than 3,300 dedicated professional and support staff. ASSISTANT BUILDING OPERATOR (FIREMAN BOILER OPERATOR CERTIFICATE)

Saskatoon Public Schools invites applications from individuals interested in Assistant Building Operator positions within the school division, working primarily from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Under the general supervision of the immediate supervisor and receiving work assignments from the Building Operator, the Assistant Building Operator assists with cleaning, maintenance, and plant operations to ensure division properties provide a safe, clean, comfortable, and presentable learning and working environment.

Applicants for Assistant Building Operator positions must possess Grade 12 or equivalent. A Fireman Boiler Operator certificate is required. A Refrigeration Plant Operator certificate or Fifth Class Power Engineer certificate is considered an asset. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and able to use the energy management system, as well as process maintenance requisitions and supply orders. The successful applicant must have strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, along with effective problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and planning skills.
