Adult Education Teacher

Chief Long Lodge Education Centre (CLLEC) is seeking a passionate, flexible, and student-centred Adult Education Teacher to join our team. Chief Long Lodge Education Centre is an adult learning centre dedicated to providing educational opportunities that empower adult learners to complete their education, develop new skills, and pursue meaningful career and post-secondary pathways. We are looking for an educator who values relationships, understands the unique needs of adult learners, and is committed to creating a respectful, supportive, and culturally responsive learning environment.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal, the Adult Education Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging educational programming that supports adult learners in achieving their personal, academic, and career goals. The successful candidate will create an inclusive learning environment that encourages learner success, confidence, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Saskatchewan adult education curriculum and graduation requirements.

Develop individualized learning plans that meet the diverse needs and goals of adult learners.

Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback and academic support.

Create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

Integrate Indigenous perspectives, Nakoda culture, and community-based learning opportunities where appropriate.

Support learners in developing employability, life, and post-secondary readiness skills.

Collaborate with student support staff, community partners, and employment agencies.

Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of adult education programming.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education.

Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate.

Experience teaching adult learners or alternative education programs is considered a strong asset.
