Accountant

In this role, you will

• Take an active role in the monthly financial close, including preparing and reviewing schedules, reconciliations and supporting analysis;
• Perform financial analysis supporting internal reporting and external financial disclosures;
• Analyze financial information, investigate variances and issues, and provide clear, well-supported conclusions;
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and other corporate functions to support financial reporting requirements and ad hoc business needs;
• Apply your knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles to increasingly complex financial reporting matters;
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiencies, and help implement practical solutions; and
• Contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the effectiveness of the financial reporting function.

Required

• bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field;
• Canadian Professional Accounting designation (CPA);
• five to eight years of relevant professional experience;
• technical accounting expertise, including IFRS and consolidation principles;
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through complex financial information; and
• ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.

Recommended

• experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA and Group Reporting;
