101737 - Equipment Operator

The Ministry of Highways is seeking a permanent full-time Equipment Operator in Radisson to help maintain Saskatchewan's roads, highways, and airports. Candidates must possess a valid Class 1A driver's licence and provide a current driver abstract if selected for an interview. Required knowledge includes the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment such as motor graders, tandem trucks, loaders, and snowplows. Knowledge of mechanical systems, workplace safety, traffic control procedures, occupational health requirements, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods practices is essential. Strong communication, critical thinking, interpersonal, digital, and safety skills are required.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining heavy equipment, performing highway maintenance and snow and ice control activities, coordinating work activities as required, monitoring equipment use, and maintaining operational records.
