Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a leadership opportunity where your work truly matters? Join Tlicho Community Services Agency as the Nurse in Charge, Long Term Care and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for Elders and residents at the Jimmy Erasmus Seniors Home. This is more than a nursing position. It's an opportunity to lead a dedicated team, inspire excellence in resident care, and contribute to a community where relationships, culture, dignity, and respect are at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the long-term care facility.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and staff development.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, quality nursing and resident care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans.
- Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing and support staff.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals to support resident well-being.
- Monitor quality improvement initiatives, audits, and program evaluations.
- Promote culturally respectful, resident-centered care.
Key Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Nursing Degree; and
- A Minimum three (3) years of recent RN experience, including:
- - One (1) year in Long Term Care; and
- - One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must eligible for registration with CANNN and be registered before working in the NWT.
- Class 5 Drivers¿ license
