Duties
The Revenue Clerk is responsible for the preparation, reconciliation, and processing of deposits, revenue, and trust accounts for the Minerals, Petroleum and Geoscience Division. Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, preparing and posting accounting entries, and reconciling accounts related to fees, leases, royalties, taxes, levies, deposits, and other revenues associated with mining, mineral exploration, quarry operations, and petroleum activities. The incumbent ensures the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

Qualifications
Essential
Post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience performing accounting and financial administration functions, including account reconciliations, deposits, financial transactions, and maintaining financial records.
Experience preparing financial reports, account reconciliations, and/or related financial documentation.
Experience reviewing and processing financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously to meet strict deadlines.

Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.

Desired
Experience using SAP and Integrated Mining and Quarrying System (IMAQ’s), or other financial management systems.
Knowledge of the legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures related to mining, quarry, petroleum, and resource tenure programs.
