Construction Electrician is a compulsory Red Seal trade in Saskatchewan: you must be a registered apprentice or hold a Journeyperson Certificate to do the work legally. The apprenticeship runs four years (7,200 hours) and is administered by SATCC.

Four levels of technical training at Sask Polytech, paired with at least 1,800 on-the-job hours per year. This is compulsory: you cannot legally work as a construction electrician in Saskatchewan without being a registered apprentice or certified journeyperson.
Full-time program at the Moose Jaw campus that gives you Level 1 technical training credit and lets you start hunting for an apprenticeship employer with credentials in hand.
Indigenous-led entry program covering wiring, motor controls, conduit, and the Canadian Electrical Code. Counts as Level 1 apprenticeship technical training. SIIT also runs Construction Electrician Level 2.
The equivalent Alberta pathways. If you train in Alberta, your credential is portable to Saskatchewan and most other provinces.
Four annual periods, each combining at least 1,560 on-the-job hours with 8 weeks of classroom training. Schools include NAIT, SAIT, Lakeland, NorQuest, Olds, Red Deer Polytechnic, and others. Red Seal endorsed. The Trades Qualifier Program route requires 9,180 verified hours plus theory exam and TCV.
Both polytechnics offer a Pre-employment Electrician program for entrants without an apprenticeship employer. Completing it gives credit toward Year 1 of the apprenticeship and makes you more attractive to sponsoring employers.

Construction Electrician is compulsory in Saskatchewan, which means SATCC controls who can work the trade. They register every apprentice, track hours and technical training, and issue the Journeyperson Certificate. Pass the Interprovincial Red Seal exam to be certified Canada-wide.
