Sports League Coordinator - Regina, SK - SPORT0044

The Sports League Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of barrier-free sporting leagues within the community. This role is the first point of contact for the Ehrlo Sport Venture Programs. The Sports League Coordinator is responsible for facilitating community sports programming and assist in the Ehrlo Sport Venture Lending Library. The Sports League Coordinator works with the program manager and recreation workers, facilitates training for league coaches and volunteers to create safe and enabling learning environments for every participant.

Duties and Responsibilities

Services

• Develop, implement, maintain, and ensures delivery barrier-free sporting leagues within the community.
• Ensure league registration communication is sent and received to internal and external stakeholders.
• Complete Effort To Outcome (ETO) entries prior to league commencement.
• Responsible for the preparation of league session plans for each league sport season.
• Plans and facilitates coaches meetings prior to league commencement.
• Provides onsite support and direction to recreation workers, league ambassadors and volunteers when required.
• Responsible for planning and implementing of special events for the Ehrlo Sport Venture Programs.
• Engage, support and motivates coaches, volunteers and program participants.
• Responsible to provide support for the Ehrlo Sport Venture Lending Library when required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Leadership

• Responsible for recruitment and selection of sport league coaches and volunteers.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to new employees, coaches, and volunteers including; facilitating coaches training and supervision of volunteers.
• Display positive role modelling, agency values and fairness.
