About this role
Drift Mechanical is a growing, locally owned sheet metal company serving Saskatoon and surrounding communities, with a focus on residential new construction.
We are looking for a 2nd or 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice who is currently registered in the Sheet Metal Worker apprenticeship program. This is not an entry-level position. Residential new construction experience is preferred.
What we're looking for
Currently registered as a 2nd or 3rd Year Sheet Metal Apprentice
Valid SATCC Sheet Metal Worker Year Card, or equivalent provincial apprenticeship certification
Experience installing residential ductwork in new construction preferred
Takes initiative and can work independently
Reliable and takes pride in their work
Committed to continuing their education and advancing in the trade
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Reliable transportation is required for travel to residential job sites throughout Saskatoon and surrounding communities
Own basic hand tools and cordless drill/impact
The work
Residential ductwork and sheet metal installation
Measuring, cutting and installing ductwork
Reading plans and layouts
Furnace and HRV installation
Working with the journey person and other apprentices
Keeping finished work clean, neat and properly installed

Starting at $22/hour, with higher rates based on level and experience.
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30.
Local Saskatoon-area work.
We're open to flexibility for the right candidate when needed, including start date.
